OUR INSIDER’S VIEW OF CRYSTAL ESPRIT’S WEST INDIES KICK-OFF
Posted on November 15, 2017
Crystal Esprit officially launched her inaugural season sailing the island paradise of the West Indies on November 12, delivering on many months of anticipation and careful planning by our destination experts and Crystal Yacht Expedition Cruises team. The fearless leader of that team – vice president of deployment, Claudius Docekal – has been tirelessly working alongside shore-side partners to ensure that all destinations and experiences are ready to welcome Crystal guests to their luxury yachting vacation. Following recent hurricanes and tropical storms in the region, some adjustments were made to the experiences and ports of call, but as you’ll see from Claudius’s personal photographic accounts of site inspections ahead of Crystal Esprit’s embarkation, we are a “GO” for exotic adventures and unforgettable moments.
“Having flown in and out of St. Maarten airport three times each within the past nine days, I found operations to be simple, efficient and quite pleasant,” reports Docekal. “Also, embarking and disembarking on St. Maarten on Sundays means faster transfer time from the airport to Crystal Esprit seaport at Marigot, typically no longer than 20 minutes.”
Crystal’s dedicated crew joined Claudius for pre-cruise test runs of everything from the submersible to the onboard cuisine. It’s a tough job, but… you know the line.
Here’s a glimpse into Claudius’s lens on the tropical world of Crystal Esprit. The stunning 62-guest yacht sails round-trip from Marigot, St. Martin, weekly through spring of 2018. When can we welcome you aboard?
