CRYSTAL SERENITY EMERGES FROM DRY DOCK

Crystal Serenity Waterside

See the Stunning Transformation of One of the World’s Most Awarded Ships

Tomorrow, Crystal Cruises will welcome Crystal Serenity back to the fleet following her most extensive dry dock ever. The award-winning ship returns to the seas on November 10 with elegant new furnishings and décor, new guest experiences, open seating dining and new accommodations while maintaining the warmth, intimacy and charm Crystal Cruises’ guests have come to love and cherish.

More than 1,200 people – including more than 30 contractors and approximately 650 members of Crystal’s own staff – have been working 24/7 for almost four weeks in nearly every area of the ship. This amounts to more than 400,000 hours of labor. In all, 38 new Seabreeze Penthouses and Seabreeze Penthouse Suites have been installed; four new and refreshed dining experiences; six entertainment and enrichment spaces have been redesigned; as well as many other enhancements throughout the ship. The dry dock has produced some other impressive numbers:

  • 450 purchase orders;
  • 2,000 new or reupholstered chairs;
  • 400 new or reupholstered sofas;
  • 10,000 square feet of fabric;
  • 196,850 feet of thread;
  • 24,057 square feet of carpet;
  • 16,845 square feet of tile;
  • Six large containers of goods donated to local Portuguese charities.

All of these numbers add up to one spectacular transformation of one of the most acclaimed luxury ships in the world. Today we are thrilled to show you the dramatic results of Crystal Serenity’s dry dock.
