Just in time to plan an indulgent luxury vacation before the end of the year, Crystal has added two new voyages to its popular collection of “Crystal Getaways”. The “Getaways” comprise a selection of abbreviated segments of the line’s ultra-luxe longer global itineraries, ranging from five to seven days and starting at just $1,985 per person. What’s not abbreviated about the cruises is Crystal’s penchant for over-the-top luxury experiences, so travelers need not sacrifice any wish list items for the sake of limited time.

The newly added, weeklong cruises sail aboard Crystal Symphony from and to Miami, respectively, offering travelers a respite from the crisp pre-holiday-season cold with an emphasis on warm beaches and blue waters.

The November 14 cruise explores the white-sand-covered islands of the Caribbean, with stops in Cozumel, Mexico; Jamaica/Montego Bay; Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; Grand Cayman; and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Crystal Adventures ashore include several ways in which to explore ancient and secretive Mayan ruins, plus scuba experiences for all levels of expertise, kayaking on the Great River, ziplining through Mystic Mountain and a host of opportunities to taste the local flavors.

On November 21, the ship departs San Juan to return to Miami, calling in Tortola, British Virgin Islands; St. Barts, French West Indies; St. Kitts, West Indies; and Grand Turk/Turks & Caicos along the way. The islands lend themselves naturally to intrepid adventures like exploring the rugged terrain via ATV, deep sea fishing and ocean swimming on horseback (yes, you read that correctly – venture into the crystal-clear waters of the Atlantic while atop your noble steed).

The latter voyage sails during the North American Thanksgiving holiday, which, in itself is a special time spent aboard any Crystal ship. Families seeking quality time and a little change of scenery for the holiday can still revel in the traditional feast and celebration, prepared in Crystal’s signature Six-Star style.

As with all Crystal Getaways, the abbreviated itineraries offer significant savings for guests, with all-inclusive fares for the November sailings starting at just $1,985 per person.

The new Crystal getaways are segments of the 14-day “Caribbean Cornucopia,” sailing round-trip from Miami November 14.

We were on the Symphony last thanksgiving for the Australia and New Zealand voyage so then decided to do the same time frame but in the carribean. To us it was such a bargain for this trip as well as managing it domestic for flights, we couldn’t pass it up! November 2015 is just too far away and we can hardly stand it!!!
