Mark Farris: Bringing the music to Crystal Mozart

When Crystal Mozart welcomes guests on board beginning this July, she’ll do so with the extraordinary talents of the river ship’s Entertainment Host, Mark Farris. Mark is fresh off our super yacht after sharing his considerable musical gifts engaging with guests on Crystal Esprit through her inaugural season in the Seychelles, and will join Crystal Mozart in Vienna to lead the festivities during Eastern European itineraries on the Danube River.

From his most common perch behind the keys of the baby grand, Mark sets out to create a “Cheers”-like atmosphere with travelers, as they gather each evening for singing and banter sessions. This is appropriately described, as many of our guests are well acquainted with Mark from his many years spent aboard our award-winning ocean ships Crystal Symphony and Crystal Serenity.

As on Crystal Esprit’s sailings, Mark’s role on Crystal Mozart will encompass more than music in the intimate public lounges and bar areas. He will ensure guests are well versed in their voyage’s highlights and destinations, as well as escorting select excursions.

We can’t think of anyone better suited to lead a luxury vessel named for one of the great composers, as Mark’s larger-than-life talents and personality will perfectly harmonize with the classically storied locales.

This is super exciting news! We look forward to Mark’s charms on our July 23 Mozart sailing. Mark, if you read this, your “cousins” from Vancouver are coming, I expect my 50th birthday on board will be even more special by your piano.

I would have thought some actual Classical piano music by Mozart would BA more appropriate…not this tosh.

Lots of luck to Mark as he gets ‘bigger and better’. We had a great time with you on Crystal’s very first ‘All Inclusive’ when The Avenue was suddenly and unexpectedly absolutely packed every single evening. Wishing you all the best in your new Crystal venture. Hoping that you will be on our ocean cruise next spring…. Sherrie and Shlomi from Israel

Hello Mark. I have always wanted to cruise thru Europe rather than hopping around airports. I’ll check it out and see if we get some deals on Crystal as a retired airline airline person. Best regards.
