SNEAK PEEK: THE CONSTRUCTION BEHIND CRYSTAL SYMPHONY’S WORLD CLASS CUISINE

As Crystal Symphony continues her makeover, our mouths are already watering over the spectacular design features in the works. This is especially true in the case of the brand new dining venues coming aboard, as we all know that the delectable cuisine is one of the many highlights of any Crystal Experience. Our insiders on the ship have shared some glimpses into the new Crystal Symphony dining experiences that await you aboard our beautiful ship – refreshed, redesigned and ready for reservations.

While the galleys and the spaces are works in progress, our talented culinary teams have already put the garnishes on the menus for every chic eatery on board. From Asian comfort food and Nobu’s signature sushi and specialties, to Crystal classics and modern gastronomy – your journey will be filled with flavor.

New carpet is installed along the port side of Waterside (formerly the Crystal Dining Room).

The Crystal Dining Room is currently being transformed into Waterside, reflecting the main elegant dining venue of the same name aboard Crystal River ships. Sophisticated décor meets classic, international dishes with modern twists here, where guests will find more seating options with added tables for two and four. Or, dine with your favorite fellow travelers at a table for up to eight guests. No matter where you’re seated, the new open dining concept allows you to indulge at your leisure between 6 and 9:30 p.m.

An aviary show piece is installed on Deck 11, in the space formerly occupied by the Trident Grill and new home to Silk Kitchen and Bar.

On Deck 11, Silk Kitchen and Bar moves in adjacent to Trident Grill. Come here for savory Chinese-inspired fare, served family style and meant to be shared – just like travel itself. Begin your day with self-service options and lunch on dumplings, Chinois soup and favorites from the noodle bar. For dinner, we recommend reservations between 6 and 9 p.m., although open dining is also offered in this casual chic spot.

The new bar is installed on Deck 11, serving cocktails and drinks made to complement the savory cuisine at Silk Kitchen and Bar, and reflect the destinations visited on your Crystal voyage.

If the classic grilled choices featured at Trident are what you crave, worry not. Trident Grill remains on Deck 11, serving hamburgers, sandwiches and all the accoutrements during the lunch and early dinner hours.

This is only the beginning of the new features of Crystal Symphony’s dining experience. Stay tuned for more delicious developments on the Crystal Insider!

Since they did not answer you i get the feeling they will not be changing the mattresses on deck 7. Seems to be all about the PV rooms. Need to freshen the other rooms on the ship. Are you listening Crystal, please?

Hi Helga, thank you for your patience while we confirm the information for you… The staterooms on deck 7 will remain the same for this dry dock. We look forward to welcoming you on board soon!

When you say ‘remain the same’ does that include the TV ?

We had a lovely river voyage on the Mozart last year and the flat TV was far superior to the clunky one on the Symphony.

Rod, the new high-tech amenities will be available in all staterooms, including the interactive TV system with music and movie library.
