Crystal kicks off the steel cutting for the next era of Crystal River Cruises

With the press of a button, we have taken a huge step forward for the next phase of Crystal River Cruises! Our president and CEO, Edie Rodriguez, today presided over a brief ceremony in Germany before launching the steel cutting process for our four new-build river ships – Crystal Debussy, Crystal Mahler, Crystal Bach and Crystal Ravel.

Crystal’s all-suite luxury river yachts will be the first in the industry to feature exceptional amenities and itinerary highlights including 250 square-foot guest suites with walk-in wardrobes, king size beds and bathrooms with double vanities; two 500 square-foot Penthouse Suites with added comforts and conveniences; spacious public areas, including Palm Court with dance floor and glass domed roof and a well-appointed fitness center and spa.

Following the maiden voyage of Crystal Mozart, the “Queen of European River Ships” on July 13along the Danube, the four new ships will sail designated routes along some of the most magical waterways in the world.

Crystal Debussy (The Seine River), maiden voyage June 4, 2017 – As Paris is a year-round dream destination, five-, seven- and 10-night voyages will explore the City of Light and surrounding areas, with convenient air connections and opportunities for guests to extend their stay in Paris, with the river yacht’s berth near the Eiffel Tower.

Crystal Bach (The Rhine River), maiden voyage June 18, 2017 – The vessel’s 14-night itinerary boasts overnight stays in Amsterdam, Basel and Ruedesheim as it travels along the Rhine and Moselle Rivers. A special 10-night Christmastime voyage again explores the quaint holiday markets that are synonymous with the region.

Crystal Ravel (The Garonne, Dordogne and Gironde Rivers), maiden voyage August 8, 2017 – Delving into the heart of France’s most renowned wine region beloved by, both, connoisseurs and novice oenophiles, Crystal Ravel explores the UNESCO-designated cultural site of Bordeaux, which boasts more protected buildings than any other French city outside of Paris. The seven-night itinerary spends two nights in Bordeaux, before cruising on to Cadillac, Pauillac, Blaye and Libourne, France, then back to Bordeaux.

Crystal Mahler (The Rhine, Main and Danube Rivers), maiden voyage August 29, 2017 – The 16-night “Grand Europe” itinerary is the longest offered by the Crystal river fleet; also two nights longer than most other lines sailing the same route.  The voyage will transit the Rhine-Main-Danube Locks that connect the continent’s two mightiest rivers (the Rhine and the Danube), to explore the treasures of each. From the tulip-laden fields and iconic windmills of Holland to the fairytale villages of Germany’s countryside, guests will have ample opportunity to immerse themselves in the charm of the destinations, with overnights in Budapest, Vienna, Passau and Amsterdam.
