From Their Own Creative Concoctions to Classic Twists, Cheers to 2020!
We love a good glass of bubbly, special occasion or not. And aboard Crystal ships, there always seems to be something deserving of a toast. So clearly, New Year’s Eve is not something to be taken lightly on these floating celebrations of luxury around the world.
Crystal’s own mixologists are experts at choosing and creating the perfect drinks to suit any celebration, and they’re sharing their picks for a New Year’s Eve toast that goes beyond the bubbly. Here’s a taste of the Crystal cocktails our barkeepers will be toasting with as they ring in 2020:
Karma Chameleon by Barkeeper Afzal Khan (Crystal Serenity). “I like to toast with my own drink, it was created here onboard Crystal Serenity, it is unique and elegant for a New Year’s Eve cocktail party.’’
Cardamom-infused Vodka, elderflower liquor, Midori liquor, pineapple juice & freshly squeezed lime juice.
Washington Cinnamon Apple Martini by Barkeeper Peter (Crystal Mozart). “It reminds me of the times my grandmother would bake apple pies during the holidays.”
Crown Royal, cinnamon-infused Apple Pucker, cranberry juice. Topped with an apple round.
Mezcal Negroni, by Barkeeper Norbert (Crystal Mahler). “An excellent choice for celebrating New Year’s Eve! It’s a bit smoky, bitter-sweet classic cocktail twist, based on a 100 years old recipe. This drink will surely warm you up on a cold winter night.”
Mezcal, Italian Vermouth, Campari and a twist of orange.
Resolution, by Bar Manager Mariya (Crystal Symphony). “This is a cool and tangy drink to refresh you while you dance into the New Year.”
Botanist gin, Lanique Rose Liquor, ginger syrup and freshly squeezed lemon juice, topped with a strawberry heart garnish.
After 8, by Barkeeper Elvir (Crystal Debussy). “I made this just for my wife, because I know how much she loves mint chocolate. But I’ve learned that many of our guests love it, too!”
Stolichnaya vodka, crème de cacao, crème de menthe & cream, garnished with fresh mint leaves and chocolate shaving.
Ravel Infusion, by Barkeepers Tibi and Rares (Crystal Ravel). “This winter warmer brings an outstanding feeling of the holiday season.”
Grand Marnier, hot apple juice, caramel syrup, vanilla syrup, cinnamon stick, and slices of apple.
No Sin Gin by Corporate Beverage Manager Ross Martin. “This a cool and stylish gin-and-tonic-style drink containing no alcohol, so you can begin the New Year refreshed.”
Seedlip Garden non-alcoholic liquor, hibiscus syrup, fresh grapefruit juice and Fever Tree elderflower tonic water. Garnished with fresh thyme and grapefruit slices.
However and wherever you celebrate the New Year, we wish you a sparkling holiday with adventures flowing into 2020. Cheers!
