In Gallivanting the Globe

It really isn’t difficult to make a luxury vacation to some of the world’s most famously coveted locales memorable. Set that vacation aboard one of the world’s most luxurious cruise or river ships – complete with personal butler service, spa days, plush spaces and outstanding cuisine – and you’ve scratched the surface of our approach to exploring the wonders of Europe.

Since we’re fairly enthusiastic about taking the extra step to ensure your luxury vacation is absolutely exceptional, we’re sharing some of the enhancements of your European cruise with Crystal in 2017. Crystal Symphony and Crystal Mozart will sail through Western and Northern Europe, and along the Danube River, respectively, throughout next year, and we want to help you make the most of your experience aboard our gorgeous vessels. While the string quartet plays strains of Europe’s classical greats in the Crystal Cove, and the Linz tortes entice you with their flaky sweetness, consider these additional perks to exploring Europe with Crystal…

Eventful and Extraordinary. Newly designed itineraries take advantage of some of the key events and holidays along your European journeys. Crystal Symphony spends the evening of Midsummer Eve in Stockholm (Sweden’s most important holiday besides Christmas), as well as an overnight in Edinburgh in time for the glamour and pomp of the annual Royal Military Tattoo. Likewise, Crystal Mozart highlights classic celebrations throughout Germany, Austria and Hungary, including Oktoberfest in the fall and the famously sparkling Christmas markets that illuminate the winter locales.

Quality Time. We don’t want you to simply come away from your European Crystal experiences with some beautiful photos (although, you will definitely come home with some beautiful photos). We know you want to actually experience the cities and villages, to taste the cuisine, to meet and greet the locals and actually enjoy the culture. This means an ever increasing number of overnight stays in some of your favorite ports. At least one – often two – nights in a city ensure that you will see it in every light and have ample time to appreciate all facets of places like Budapest, Dublin, Barcelona, St. Petersburg, Bordeaux, Vienna and other impossibly beautiful spots.

VIP Access. A Crystal European cruise in 2017 is an opportunity to go places, meet people and learn things you wouldn’t otherwise experience. Crystal Symphony’s itineraries offer a host of ‘Boutique Adventures,’ taking you to the Irish castle-estate filming location for Game of Thrones, to the chef’s table at Bordeaux’s Michelin St-James, and on a hard-hat tour behind the restoration of 13th century Santa Maria Cathedral in Bilbao. These exclusive excursions go beyond areas most commonly presented to travelers to the most personal and fascinating parts of the destinations.

Less is More. At least, when it comes to airfare. For nearly two dozen voyages aboard Crystal Symphony and Crystal Mozart in 2017, we’re sweetening an already enticing European cruise with business class air transportation for just $999 per person, or a round-trip Economy Class air add-on for just $249 per person, for bookings made through Crystal’s air department. The “Crystal Sky Savings” allow you to add more luxury to your luxury European vacation, for less.

…Because even the most extraordinary dream vacations become a little dreamier when they’re a great value.
